Skye grew up hiking and occasionally car camping around Washington, but the passion she has now wasn’t truly realized until well beyond her childhood. In grad school to be exact. This is when she realized her desire for hiking, backpacking and especially rock climbing. Today she excitedly states that alpine multi-pitch trad climbing is her favorite way to explore the backcountry. From a grad school start to a summer schedule full of alpine wall climbs—she has us impressed at least. This summer she’s going to do what she does best and backpack and climb around some of Washington’s finest locales. But don’t be fooled, mere political borders can’t contain her.
